A new year is here! (and the rest of my 12 days of yule)

A new year is here. And like John said, "and what have you done"? Did you manage to acomplish all you set yourself to do at the beginning? Did you lose those extra pounds? Did you travel? Did you get out of the Broom Closet? I sure didn't! (hah! and you thought I was going to go all wise and divine here on you, did cha?) I think I actually GAINED the pounds and traveled as far as my job here and there... but what I did do was to get out of the broom closet and it was the most stress-relieving thing E-VER.

But this year things are different. I can just FEEL it. As Yule came to a closing, the light of hope shines upon us once more and brings us to that point in life where we have to think about the things we want to achieve this coming year. And again, we think that we want to be healthier, that we want to loose those pounds, that we want to be closer to our family, that we want to travel... but do we really REALLY want to achieve all this or is just a way to trick ourselves onto doing something --- like, doing something just to make it seem like we are DOING something rather than just waste time away?

How about instead of wanting to be all that... how about just looking in the mirror every day and saying ONE THING you LOVE about yourself? Sure! We want OTHERS to tell us these things, but when it comes to you telling YOU, "hey there, gorgeous! I couldn't go through this day without YOU!" it takes on a completely different spin, doesn't it? Why? How come we believe what others tells us about US instead of giving us the cheery cheer? I say... SCREW IT!! I will not be subjected to other's telling me when to feel good about ME!! Try it. Take it for a test drive for this month. Then, write to me and tell me how this affirmation made you feel. Trust me, the more positive thinking you do on your behalf, the better the chances your aura and energy fields are open to the world and good things will come your way.

Plus, it will make spells come a lot easier! ;)

So, my project this month is "TELLING MYSELF HOW MUCH I LOVE MYSELF AND LETTING ME KNOW THAT I AM A TRUE MOONBEAM" Purifying my aura with the fresh moonlight of January and the sunbeams of the just born God of Light will aid me in my endeveours and I hope they do yours too.

But, enough of my rambling.

How was YOUR day??

I have still to finish my Days of Yule things. I mean, posting them. So, I thought that today was going to be such a day. I shall proceed to post the rest of the Days of Yule as I have them written on my personal journal.

5th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Honor
December 24th
Honor is the ability to hold your head high in all situations. We set standards for ourselves and live according to those standards. We are not encouraged to set low standards, rather, set high standards and work toward them continually, even behind closed doors.

Le Integrite!

These are words that Marjonie's grandmother said to her in the movie Persepolis. The one thing you have, the one thing no one can take away from you is your honor. This is the thing that make others rely on you, and see you as a trustworthy person. To have a set of values -- a code if you will, in which you balance good and evil perfectly (because you cannot be good all the time, com'on!). This is why the wiccan rede sets it very clear:

To Harm None.

Reach your goals without harming people/nature along the way. Have respect for others. Have respect for your mother nature, your father time and your brothers and sisters. And never set yourself for failure. That, to me, is honorable.

6th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Fidelity
December 25th
We must remain loyal to who and what we are. Those around us need to have the ability to take us at our word, and our word needs to be our bond. Our handshake needs to seal the deal. The devotion to our deeds has to be of the uttermost importance.

Positively speaking, When we lose ourselves, we lose the sense of who we are. And as soon as this happens, our place in this world is unbalanced. And unbalanced energy only brings unbalanced waves our way. Be true to you, be true to others and never allow what others might think or say about you change who you really are. People around you who love you and respect you will Love and Respect you NO MATTER WHAT. The moment you change to please others you destroy that essense the Goddess and God have made for YOU. Remember, YOU are UNIQUE in your OWN WAY. Why try changing that?

(I say "positevely speaking" because there are some people who do need to change their ways -- for the better, such as alcoholics, drug additct, etc... those people who bring harm to others)

7th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Hospitality
December 26th
Welcome those into your house and your life as you can. In today’s world, we cannot trust everyone with whom we come in contact, but we can exercise caution and be as welcoming as possible. Similarly, be a proper and respectful guest when you are welcomed.

Juarez people are known throughout Mexico as being the most hospitality-giving people. Or at least, we were known as that before all the madness started going on here. And even when, we still manage to be welcoming.

A few months ago I had the opportunity to welcome people from Mexico City to my town. They came to apply a teacher certification exam and it was their first time here. As they always do, they called and told us when they would be arriving. We offered the hotel stay and the transport. The day came, I went to pick them up at the airport and told them to be calmed as there are a lot of military check points along the highway. Then drove them to the hotel, asked them if they were hungry and as such told them to settle in, and be ready two hours later to go out for dinner. Took them to dinner at one of Juarez' most delicious restaurants, and then we agreed that I waas going to pick them up to go to the examination place the next morning. Examination came and went and afterwards I took them to luch and told them that the teachers wanted to take them out for dinner that afternoon. Since their flight back to Mexico was set for the next morning, they had no problem in accepting, so we ended-up having dinner, kareoke party and a frew drinks that evening. As I was driving them to the airport the next day, they both said that they were leaving with a different impresion of what Juarez is like. They had pictured us to be rude, violent people... but they saw an entire different scenario from the TRUE Juarez people: warm, welcoming, and willing to make their city change.

It is hard to have this virtue nowadays, but when you practice it, it comes back to you three times fold. I cannot tell you how many times have examinors, tutors, or conference people come over to my town and just by being polite, and welcoming I have made lots of friends! I have homes to arrive to whenever I want to visit Mexico City, Mazatlan, Puebla, Vallarta.... and it's all because of the little details such as the ones I described for the two examinors above.

8th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Discipline
December 27th
Our Way is not an easy way. In many aspects, we fly in the face of the society around us. Stay True to the ideals of Ancient Celtic Ways, as they unfold in your life. Be diligent in the study of your beliefs. Stay True to the goddesses.

I am, by far, one of the most un-disciplined person I know. Honestly. And it's a fault I am working very hard to turn around. It's not been an easy road, I'll tell you that, but I am trying... and slowly I think I am acheiving this goal.

Discipline, in all aspects, is what in the long run will bring you all that you plow. But you have to be consistent, orderly, and know that, like anything in life, you have to dedicate yourself to whatever you're passionate about.

9th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Industriousness
December 28th
Life requires that we work hard. Never sit back and take the easy way out in regards to your ability to create a lifestyle for yourself. No matter the lifestyle you choose, know that your elevation in life, or lack of it, may (but not always) be the direct result of your depth of diligence. Do the best you can, and know that your efforts have been suitably rewarded.

I think that, like Discipline, being Industriousness comes along with the turf. We work hard to obtain what we desire. Even rock stars and movie stars have to work hard to get the success they have... yes, even Justin Biever had to work hard at some point in his life to achieve what he has right now. Working hard in what we like to achieve a point of sucess in life makes the road sweet and light. Sometimes we might not like our job, but we must not take it as a burden. Remember: there are others who are not that lucky and wish they could work to have something to bring home.

10th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Self-Reliance
December 29th
Do not create codependent relationships in any way. Do not let your happiness, or your success, be determined by anyone else. Be responsible for yourself. Rely on your own efforts to secure your needs.

Read the beginning of this blog... You'll see what I mean....

11th Day of Yule – Remembering the Noble Virtue of Perseverance
December 30th
If you give up, you die. It really is simple, isn’t it? No matter what you are doing, see it to its conclusion. Even if you try and fail, realize that the only real failure is not trying. Failure is evidence that someone has tried. Success is failure defeated.

Never give up. Sometimes the gold is at the bottom of barrels of crap! Had I ever given up, I would have never brought the Cambridge Certification to my school. Had I ever given up, I would have never started an MA in Education. Had I ever given up, I would have never be at this point in life, telling you to never give up.

"Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you'll still land amongst the starts!" -- Les Brown

12th Night
December 31st
Thus ends the season of Yule as we prepare for the upcoming year. It's a time to remember from whence you came as well as a time to make plans for the near future. Take oaths, make promises, hold inventory so you know your present position in relation to where you want to be. Remember, "Luck often enough will save a woman (or man) if her (or his) courage holds” (The Celtic Warrior).

I promise to make my life more complete. Never giving up to achieve my goals and never harming people along the way.
I promise to myself to be stronger and not let anyone else tell me what to think, to do, or to feel. I promise to myself that I will always love me, no matter what happens.
I promise to be more patient, disciplined and diligent in my studies, both in witchcraft and in my MA
I promise that this year I will make an effort to get out more. I want to travel to other parts of my country and leave a little bit of my energy there.
I promise I will stop cheating myself out of being happy and I will no longer sabotage myself to dig a hole on the ground from which later I have to climb out of.
I promise to be patient with others, as they will not always be as positive-filled as I hope they are. People sometimes show you their worst face but in the long run, they always show a positive light.
I promise to clean my car!
I promise to be patient with Suzie -- she's still in training.
I promise to allow the Goddess into my life more. I promise to honor her, to honor the God in his sabbats, and to walk the path they have set for me with honor and respect towards all living things.
I promise to live.

Hello. My name is Yuvia and I am a witch.

It took me a long time to come to this realization. I went through several stages, from denial to shame. I even tried to change my beliefs to please others – mainly friends and family, who told me time and time again that I was wrong and that the voices I heard in my heart were wrong. It took me a long time to recognize myself within this universe and now I am at peace, knowing that my path is the right path – one filled with light, hope, joy, and most of all, wisdom.

I learned that you have to accept youself before you can accept others. That you do not hold all the answers – not even the Goddess has all the answers. I learned that you are constantly learning, and that the moment you stop learning is the moment you die. That good and evil are within all of us – that neither of us hold within absolute good nor absolute evil. That kidness and loyalty is  a two-way street, and that everything you do in this world comes back to you, three times fold.

Once I learned to accept myself, I was no longer afraid. If friends walked away it was because they couldn’t accept me as I am and I should respect their decision. If family turned their back on me, they would come around because there is love. And all those things I was afraid of was just fear of what I could find in me. I’ve never been happier with who I am and whatI can do. And that joy has returned three times fold.

I am a Witch. Witchcraft is a form of life – a way of being one with the Gods in the best way you can be. I am an Eclectic Witch – Solitary, Hereditary, Eclectic. I have a guardian angel whose job is to keep me safe and a Grand Master – an archangel whose name is Raziel. A familiar Goddess who likes to go out at night to talk to the moon, and a familiar-Goddess-in-training who still needs some guidance not to pee inside the room. My mother is happy that I have embraced  my tradition (there is one in every generation) and my father has come to respect my points of view (o though sometimes he does get a little feaked-out but, it's all good). I am a Witch and I use my powers for good… 90% of the time (I cannot be good all the time).

I am in constat change. This page is live example.

A Spell to Ask for Courage

From the Book
The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Spells
by Michael Johnstone

Tuesdays are best for this spell that brings boldness to the faint-hearted. Cast this spell on a Tuesday in Aries, when the moon is waxing or full. Dress in red clothes and cover your altar with a red cloth to add potency to your magic.

You will need:

One white altar candle
One red taper candle
Some sprigs of holly or honeysuckle
An essential oil burner
Lavender essential oil
Black pepper

When the fumes of the lavender oil are filling the air, sprinkle the pepper onto the burner. Now light the white candle and kneel down, focusing on the flame while silently asking for the courage to face whatever challenges lie ahead. Visualize yourself triumphant in any situation and then light the red candle. Now stand to your full height in front of the altar and, with hands held high above your head, say aloud:

Strength and courage may I possess,
That what I fear, I may face.
In winning through to the other side,
On to victory I will ride.
And let it be done, that it harm no one.

The spell is cast. You can face the future with boldness.

Mabon Recepies (MORE!)

Mabon Celebration Recipes

Sea Turtle Wisdom Bread

2 tsp. active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
2 tsp. sugar or honey
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vegetable oil
2 1/2 to 3 cups all-purpose flour
Raisins
1 egg
Water
Green food coloring

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Whisk in sugar/honey, salt, and oil. Slowly fold in flour, as it becomes harder to stir, turn the dough onto a lightly floured countertop and dust the dough with flour. Knead the dough by folding it in half and pressing it with the palm of your hand until it springs back when you poke it lightly with a finger. Form into ball and place in lightly greased bowl. Dust dough with flour and cover it with a clean cloth towel. Let it rise for 30 minutes. (Shouldn't spring back, now)

After the dough has risen once, punch it down and form balls for the shell (6in. diameter), head (3in.) , and legs (2in.), and assemble on a greased cookie sheet. Etch a crisscross pattern on top of shell with a knife. Use 2 raisins for eyes. Let rise for 30 more minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brush lightly with egg wash ( 1 egg whisked with 1 tbs. water and couple drops green food coloring) and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 2 turtles

Harvest Morning Muffins

3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup grated apples
1 cup grated carrots
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbs. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease a 12-muffin tin or line it with paper liners. Set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer, blend the eggs, sugar and oil until well combined. Stir in the grated apples and carrots. In a separate bowl, sift the flours, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Blend the dry ingredients with the apple mixture until just combined. Spoon the batter into the muffin tins and bake for 25 minutes.
Makes 12 muffins.

Lunch Crumble

5 apples
1 cup rolled oats
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
6 tbs. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. allspice
2 tbs. apple juice or orange juice

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly butter a 9-inch square baking pan or a casserole of the equivalent size, then dust it with flour. Peel, core and slice the apples, and arrange them in the pan. In the bowl of an electric mixer, blend the oats, brown sugar, flour, butter, cinnamon, salt and allspice on low speed until it forms a coarse meal. Crumble the mixture evenly over the apple slices and sprinkle with the juice. Bake for 35 minutes.

Makes 6 servings.
(Serve warm with chilled fruit and vegetable plates, buffet style.)

Cinnamon Apple Butter (--N-Turkey) Sandwiches

9 to 10 apples, peeled and cored
1 cup apple cider
2 tsp. apple pie spice
(or 1/2 tsp. each nutmeg and allspice and 1tsp. cinnamon)

Cut the apples into 1-inch chunks. (Don't worry about making them perfectly sized.) Place in a large, nonreactive saucepan and pour cider over them. Cover the pot and cook for about 30 minutes over low heat, until the apples are soft. Cool the mixture, divide it into two batches and puree each in a food processor or blender. (At this point, you have an unsweetened applesauce, which makes excellent baby food). Pour the pureed fruit into a large baking dish, sprinkle with the apple pie spice, and stir. Spread mixture evenly in a 13-by-9-by-2-inch pan. Bake in a 300-degree oven for 2 to 3 hours, until thick and deep brown. Stir every 20 minutes. Cool the apple butter and then scoop it into a clean jar with a sealable lid. It will keep for up to two months in your refrigerator.

Makes 1 1/2 cups.

Create your favorite turkey sandwich buffet with slice turkey breast, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado wedges, sprouts, etc. Use CAB* instead of butter or mayonnaise.

Share the Wealth Applesauce

24 tart apples
Juice of a lemon
2 cups water
1 cup sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup raisins (optional)

Peel and core the apples, then cut them into chunks. Place the apples in a large nonreactive saucepan, and add the lemon juice and water. Stir in the sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and cook for 30 minutes or until the apples are soft. Remove the mixture from the heat and add the cinnamon and raisins, if desired. Stir light for a chunky sauce and rigorously for a smooth sauce. For a pink applesauce, use red apples and leave the skins on. Once the apples are soft, you can strain out the skins or lift them from the sauce with a fork.

Makes 2 1/2 cups.

A Witch's Most Useful Herbs

There are many useful herbs to be found in the world today. Unfortunately, not everyone has enough room in their kitchen (or their wallets) for hundreds of bottles of dried herbs. There are many herbs that are considered the best in their field and often do more than just one job. Here, I have listed some of the most useful herbs and most can be found in almost any witch's cabinet.
_________________
Sage: Sage has many uses aside from the traditional medicinal uses. It is used by witches and Native Americans as smudging sticks for purifying their surroundings or objects. When used medicinally, it can relieve all kinds of symptoms. The dried leaves of the plant are used. It is a relaxant and is good for headaches and releases tension. Bathing in the tea is very soothing when you are sick from a cold or flue and when used as a rinse prevents dandruff and graying of hair. It can be taken as a tea or in pill form to relieve problems of the lungs and bronchial system.
Valerian: Valerian is one of the most beneficial herbs known to man. It has incredible sedative properties and is very close to valium without chemical dependency or side effects. Although it smells a little like dirty feet, it has a pleasant taste with just a little sugar. It also cures insomnia without causing a drugging effect. Valerian is useful for tension, hysteria, nerves, headaches, insomnia and as a relaxant.
Mullein: Here is an herb that I only recently came across when a friend recommended some for David's bronchitis. Mullein is good for all chest ailments, but, unlike other herbs, has the added punch of also being an antibacterial. Mullein is wonderful for pneumonia, colds, flu, cough, congestion, fluid in the lungs and all other chest ailments including asthma. Along with black pepper, it is the best thing to take during any illness and is found in most health food stores.
Peppermint: Aside from being a pleasant tasting tea, peppermint also helps with the lungs and throat. It is a decongestant and keeps lungs healthy and in good working order. It is a nice tea to give to children and we substitute it for soda pop and juices that are too sugary for little ones. Children will ask for it by name!

13 Steps for Successful Spell Casting

 by Andreika the Witch

1) Think clearly about what you need.If you need a car, perhaps it would be best to do a spell that will help you to bring a car into your life, rather than asking for a few thousand dollars to come your way so that you can buy a car. Magic can work in many ways and you might be limiting yourself if you donít stay open to all possibilities! But remember, magic works best if you really need something, rather than just desiring it.

2) Set a goal that is clear, concise and unambiguous.
Focus only upon one work of magic at a time. For best results, don't scatter your power, channel it in one direction.

3) Avoid distractions when performing your spell.
To be effective in your magic, you must be fully focussed upon your intentions. Put time and energy into preparing yourself and your spell. Find a location where you can work your spell in private, without any distractions.

4) Choose the right timing for your spell.
By choosing particular days, and by working in harmony with the phases of the moon, you can enhance the effectiveness of your spell. The days of the week and the phases of the moon all have specific energies associated with them, and by knowing the right time for your spell, you can give it greater power. Working magic is like swimming in the ocean, you are going to get to your destination quicker and easier if the currents and tides are moving in the direction you are wanting to go. You can still get there even if everything is going against you, but it will not be as easy to achieve your goal.

5) Use appropriate symbols for your spell.
When doing the spell, have appropriate music, incense, colours, objects and tools around you to reinforce the message of the spell to your subconscious.

6) Set a time for a result.
Include in your spell an indication of when you would like to see a result. If your spell is for greater prosperity, include a date for when you would like to see that extra cash in your wallet or purse.

7) Create a simple rhyme to use during the spell.
Chanting a few appropriate words that you have written yourself, will have a much better effect than reading text from an ancient spell book. Repeat your wording lots of times during your spell. Repetition is the key to sending a message to your subconscious.

8) Use the "For the good of all!" clause.
When creating the wording for your spell, remember to include the phrase, "For the good of all!" This phrase will help your spells to enhance your life, without having your good fortune being at the expense of another. Another useful phrase is, "This or something better now comes to me." Often that which you want at this point in your life may be different to what you really need, and it's only when you look with hindsight from a future point in time that you can realise this. So, by asking "for this or something better," you leave yourself open to greater possibilities becoming available to you. I have heard so many examples of spells going wrong when the "For the good of all!" wording is not taken into consideration. One friend did a spell to get $1,000 for a holiday, and two weeks later his house was burgled, and the insurance reimbursement cheque ended up being $1,000 exactly. Another person I know did a spell so that she could have some time off work, and she promptly broke her leg, requiring three months off work! I have also heard (many times) about people who do a spell to lose weight, and they get diarrhoea, or excessive vomiting, or both. They sure lost weight, but not in a healthy way. Be careful for what you wish for, because you may get it!

9) Realise the consequences of having what you asked for.
Apart from the examples just given, there are other consequences to be aware of. When something comes into your life, certain responsibilities come along with it. For example, when doing a spell to get a car, remember that along with the car comes registration costs, petrol and repair bills, perhaps monthly loan repayments, etc. Are you in a position to handle these? A Law of Exchange is always at work when magic is used. Sometimes what you have wished for seems to come out of thin air, with little effort on your part, but often it will arrive from more mundane sources. For example, it may be that after doing a spell for a car, you win $20,000 in the lottery and you can buy it...Or it may simply be that you are offered the chance to do extra hours at your work, or a second job turns up so that you are then in a financial position to afford a loan for the dream car. Are you prepared to give this extra energy to the universe/gods in exchange for the items you wished for? Another way in which money can become available to you after casting a prosperity spell, is through being asked if you want to sell something that is of value to you. Are you willing to part with that family heirloom if someone makes an offer out of the blue?

10) Avoid using words that you don't understand.
Spell books are great for getting ideas, but the spell will work better if you put it into words that are meaningful to you. In the book "The Key of Solomon the King" there is a spell for gaining inspiration, and at one point the spell-caster is supposed to say the Hebrew words, "Vegale hamicata umsa terata yeh dah ma baxasoxa un horah himesere..." But this sort of wording does nothing to focus awareness upon the aim of the spell. It is much better to make something up yourself. For example, for an "inspiration" spell, you could scry into a water-filled cauldron and say the words, "Beneath the stars and moon so bright, from cauldron deep and candlelight, the answer that I seek tonight is now revealed into my sight."

11) Use positives not negatives.
Make sure that the wording of your spell is phrased in a positive manner. For example, with a health spell don't use wording such as "I don't want to be sick anymore." Your subconscious doesn't recognise words like "don't want", it can only focus on words that it can put an image to, i.e. the word "sick". Spells are basically affirmations that include images or symbols, so while doing a healing spell, visualise yourself as healthy and turn this phrase around to something like, "I am healthy, I am strong - all the day and all night long!"

12) Be realistic.
Expect miracles, but don't go overboard! A love spell will help you to attract romance into your life, but a love spell to attract a Hollywood movie star as your lover is unrealistic. Even Merlin would have trouble with that one!

13) Raise power for the spell (if appropriate).

You can raise power to help send your wishes off into the universe by drumming, chanting, dancing, or even by running around your magical circle. Power raising is like pumping up an air rifle before aiming and releasing the energy, so after raising energy, drop to the ground and visualise your spell as fully manifest. See it in your mind clearly, and send this image into the universe knowing that it has already come true.

Please remember: A magic spell will not work by simply repeating some words that you find in a spell book. The magic of a spell is contained within you - your needs, your desires, and the energy you are prepared to put into the working of the spell. If there is no personal power in your spell, it is only words.

The Art of the Craft

To be a witch doesn't mean to just expand your magic through the universe via potions, lotions, recipes, and spells. It also means that you can expand that magic via art. Today I bring you the collection of images I did a while back for a friend and that are now part of the portafolio you can see at DeviantArt. Enjoy!

The Witches’ Chant

Darksome night and shining moon,
Hearken to the witches’ rune.
East then South, West then North,
Hear! Come!  I call thee forth!

By all the powers of land and sea,
Be obedient unto me.
Wand and Pentacle and Sword,
Hearken ye unto my word.

Cords and Censer, Scourge and Knife,
Waken all ye into life.
Powers of the witch’s Blade,
Come ye as the charge is made.

Queen of Heaven, Queen of Hell,
Send your aid unto the spell.
Horned Hunter of the night,
Work my will by magic rite.

By all the powers of land and sea,
As I do say, “So mote it be.”
By all the might of moon and sun,
As I do will, it shall be done.

I am a witch. There, I've said it. With all full letters, W I T C H. To say this implies all the complicated explanations I have to make to my aunts who are determinated to save my soul from damnation... but, as they say, "if I go to hell, at least I'm going honest".

My love for animals and their magic led me to become a veterinarian and then to get a specialty in natural and homeopathic veterinary medicine. In my country, that's the same thing as to say that I am some sort of witchdoctor who heals animals with blood and voo-doo rituals... Yes, we are still pretty closed-minded here in Mexico.

My branch is to be eclectic. I respect all branches of magic and I respect all other faiths as long as they respect mine.

My familiar's name is Mikuni. She's a year old cat now, and she is the sunshine in my household. The only ones who seem to have problems with her are the faeries who live in my backyard because Mikuni enjoys sleeping on top of their homes...

This blog is created for the sole purpose to plunge all I know here for others to find. I will also post some interesting articles that I have found around the web, giving the all-too deserved credit to their authors and linking the pages in which I have found them. The blog roll will be filled with pages in which witchcraft and wicca come together in the midst of knowledge. I will accept critics and I promise to answer all questions with respect. I ask for nothing more.

The beginning is here. Slowly but surelly, this blog will grow. Com'on in, enjoy the ride. Welcome to a blog filled with magic, love, music, food, friends, knowledge, wisdom, and good faith. This is Acbal's Moon, and we're all welcome to it.
